Description
The Greif is a harder and more dangerous version of the Sternenfall Pro. Now the Sternenfall Pro was at least a medium hard long pimple - the Greif is definitely a hard pimple rubber. In contrast to the Sternenfall Pro, the pimple heads are not grooved and somewhat sticky. Nevertheless, the Greif has considerably more grip than the Sternenfall Pro. The pimples are the same size as on the Sternenfall Pro and the distance between the pimples is also the same. Due to the insensitivity to incoming rotation, the opponent's backspin balls can easily be pushed into the corners or answered offensively with a topspin movement to bring your own forehand into play with a faster topspin. In principle, the Greif is very strong on attacking shots and is the right rubber for players who want to put the opponent under pressure with the pimples in order to prepare their own attacking shots. The disruptive effect is considerable. However, the Greif does not have a "bouncy effect" and the pimples do not bend as quickly. The disruptive effect here comes more from the possibility of playing with or without spin, as well as the tempo variations that are better possible with the Greif than with other long pimples. For optimum durability and playing characteristics, we recommend mounting with the x-film adhesive foil and regular cleaning of the pimple heads (for example with rubber cleaner and the SpinLord cleaning sponge). This rubber is only available in ox and only in red and black.
